D.O.Q. Priorat · Catalonia, Spain. A singular estate wine from Mas de la Rosa, one of Porrera’s most iconic, steep hillside vineyards. Planted at high altitude on llicorella (slate) “costers,” it delivers profound mineral identity and a uniquely elegant expression.
Grape varieties
Predominantly Garnacha with Cariñena, from old vines with extremely low yields, farmed by hand in a true “heroic viticulture” landscape.
Winemaking & ageing
Hand-harvested with meticulous bunch selection. Fermented with native yeasts and minimal intervention to preserve the vineyard’s voice. Aged in French oak barrels for approximately 18 months, followed by bottle ageing. Very limited production.

Founded in the 1990s in the picturesque village of Porrera, in the heart of the Priorat DOQ, Bodega Vall Llach combines tradition and modernity to create wines of great character and elegance. Its philosophy is based on respect for the land and artisanal winemaking, using grapes from century-old vines planted in the slate soils characteristic of the region.

The unique microclimate of Priorat, with sunny days, cool nights, and a significant temperature range, allows for a slow and balanced ripening of the grapes, lending freshness and depth to its wines. The harvest is carried out by hand due to the steep slopes of the terrain, ensuring a careful selection of the best bunches.

With a combination of traditional and modern techniques, Vall Llach has established itself as one of the most prestigious wineries in the region. Their most iconic wine, Finca Mas de la Rosa, has been recognized as Gran Vinya Classificada, a distinction that reflects the uniqueness of the vineyard and the exceptional quality of this red wine, establishing itself as one of the great wines of Priorat.
