About the Winery

Bodega Zárate is one of the most historic and prestigious wineries in the Val do Salnés (Rías Baixas), with origins dating back to the 18th century. The Zárate family has been key in the recovery and enhancement of traditional Galician viticulture, always committed to artisanal, precise work deeply connected to the vineyard.

The winery is especially renowned for its focus on unique plots, granitic soils, and a very pure interpretation of the Atlantic character. Although it is world-renowned for its great Albariño wines, Zárate also develops more personal and limited projects such as Fontecón Rosé, where it translates its philosophy of elegance, freshness, and respect for origin to the world of rosé.
