About the Winery

Founded in 1897 in the heart of the Highlands, Tomatin Distillery is one of Scotland's oldest and largest producers. Its name, which in Gaelic means "juniper bush hill," reflects its connection with the surrounding natural landscape. For much of its history, Tomatin was known for supplying bulk whisky for prestigious blends, but in recent decades it has consolidated its identity as a producer of high-quality single malts. Its location, 315 meters above sea level, the use of pure mountain water, and a focus on extended maturation lend smoothness, complexity, and a distinctive character to its whiskies, which are now enjoyed in more than 40 countries.
