D.O. Toro · Castilla y León, Spain. Single-vineyard wine from the historic Teso La Monja plot, planted in 1939. Sandy soils with rounded river stones promote slow, balanced ripening, resulting in a wine of remarkable depth and character. -
Grape variety
100% Tinta de Toro (local Tempranillo), from very old vines with extremely low yields. -
Winemaking & aging
Hand-harvested into small crates, meticulous berry-by-berry selection, and fermented in wooden vats. Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels, followed by bottle aging. Very limited production. -
