About the Winery

Muja Irish Whiskey is crafted in Ireland using the traditional triple distillation methods that characterize authentic Irish whiskey. Although the identity of the Irish distillery that produces Muja's base whiskeys is not publicly revealed (as is common with many independent bottlers), the maturation and bottling process is completed in Italy, where the whiskey is refined in select ex-bourbon and sherry casks. It is then moved to a town near Trieste, where it is bottled without chill filtration in a spectacular, handcrafted, Italian-designed bottle. Muja is not part of a traditional distillery, but rather represents a boutique project that unites the best of two worlds: the tradition of Irish whiskey and the aesthetic and material creativity of contemporary Italian design.
