About the Winery

Muja Irish Whiskey is crafted in Ireland using the traditional triple distillation methods that characterize authentic Irish whiskey. While the identity of the Irish distillery that produces Muja's base whiskeys is not publicly revealed (as is common practice among many independent bottlers), the maturation and bottling process is completed in Italy, where the whiskey is aged in select ex-bourbon and sherry casks. It is then transported to a location near Trieste, where it is bottled without chill filtration in a striking, handcrafted Italian-designed bottle. Muja is not a traditional distillery; rather, it represents a boutique project that unites the best of both worlds: the tradition of Irish whiskey and the aesthetic and material creativity of contemporary Italian design.
