About the Winery

Founded in 1986 in Cambados, in the heart of the Rías Baixas, Bodegas Martín Códax has become one of the leading figures in Albariño winemaking internationally. Its name pays tribute to the 13th-century Galician troubadour, whose cantigas celebrated the sea, love, and Galician culture.

Since its inception, the winery has worked closely with local winegrowers, managing vineyards spread across the slopes near the Arousa estuary. The Atlantic climate and granitic and sandy soils are the foundation for the fresh, mineral, and elegant expression of its wines.

Martín Códax not only represents Galician winemaking tradition but also innovation and a commitment to sustainability, producing wines that convey the essence of the region and the unique character of Albariño.

Today, its wines are enjoyed in more than 50 countries, consolidating the winery as a global ambassador for Albariño and the Atlantic soul of Galicia.
