About the Winery

In the heart of the Montsant D.O., Josep Grau leads a project that combines tradition, respect for the vineyard, and minimal intervention in the winery. After leaving a successful career in finance, he decided to return to his family roots and dedicate himself to restoring old vines, especially Garnacha and Cariñena, to express the soul of the terroir in every bottle.

The winery works exclusively with certified organic viticulture, manual harvesting, and spontaneous fermentations with native yeasts. Its vineyards, many of them centuries old, are planted on clay, limestone, and slate soils at varying altitudes, which gives its wines freshness, depth, and longevity.

La Florens is one of his most personal wines, made with Garnacha from century-old vines and conceived as an intimate tribute to his mother, Florentina. Each bottle reflects Josep Grau's commitment to authenticity, elegance, and the unique identity of Montsant.
