100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Grown on clay-limestone soils with very low yields that concentrate the full varietal and terroir phrase.
Winemaking & Aging
Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, followed by over 3 years of bottle aging before release.

About the Winery

Jean Leon is not just a winery; it's a story of authenticity, courage, and vision. Founded by the charismatic Jean Leon, a Cantabrian who emigrated to the US and became a restaurateur to Hollywood stars, his dream was to create a unique wine in his homeland.

In 1963, he established his vineyard in the heart of the Penedès, introducing varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay to Spain for the first time, with a completely innovative approach. He was a pioneer of estate viticulture in the country and one of the first to embrace signature wines.

The Jean Leon winery is known for producing estate wines with their own identity, following certified organic farming principles. Today, his legacy lives on through wines that tell stories, such as Vinya La Scala, the first Spanish wine served at an official White House dinner in 1981.
