About the Winery

Jean Leon is much more than a winery: it's the story of a visionary man who left his native Cantabria to conquer Hollywood and, later, revolutionize wine in the heart of the Penedès region.

Founded in 1963, the winery pioneered the introduction of French varieties such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon to Spain, at a time when no one else was doing so.

Located in Torrelavit (Alt Penedès), Jean Leon combines estimation for the Mediterranean terroir with an avant-garde philosophy, focusing on organically produced wines with their essence and a strong connection to their origins. All of its wines come from its vineyards and have been certified organic since 2012.

The 3055 range pays homage to the taxi driver's license number Jean Leon had in New York before becoming a legend. A collection that meditates on his youthful spirit, his dreamy nature, and his tireless pursuit of authenticity.
