Villabuena de Álava, Rioja Alavesa – D.O.Ca. Rioja. From a single vineyard officially classified as “Viñedo Singular”, cultivated in 1936 at over 500 meters above sea level on poor clay-limestone soils. - Grape varieties
100% Tempranillo. Manual cluster selection with extremely low yields to faithfully depict the typicity of the terroir and the supremacy of the variety. - Winemaking & aging
Traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aged for 20 months in new fine-grain French oak barrels. Natural clarification and unfiltered bottling to preserve its most refined feeling. - Producer profile
Bodegas Izadi, located in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, stands out for its balance between innovation and respect for tradition. Part of the Artevino group, the winery works with old vines and sustainable practices to create high-altitude, intense wines with soul. - Special features
Certified “Viñedo Singular”. Seriously limited production. Nearly 90-year-old vines, hand-harvested in small crates, parcel vinification, and minimal intervention in the winery.
