Valdeorras, Galicia – D.O. Valdeorras. A mountain white wine produced in A Rúa (Ourense), from vineyards located between 500 and 600 meters above sea level, with a continental climate influenced by the Atlantic. - Grape varieties
100% Godello. Hand-selected grapes from old vines planted on slate and granite hillside soils, providing structure and minerality. - Winemaking and ageing
Fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Aged on fine lees for several months to gain volume, texture and complexity. No oak ageing. - Producer profile
Bodegas La Tapada – Guitian is a family-run project and a pioneer in reviving the Godello grape in the 1990s. Their artisanal approach, respect for the vineyard, and focus on age-worthy wines have positioned them as quality leaders in Valdeorras.
