Grans Muralles 2019 is a red wine from D.O. Conca de Barberà, Catalonia. Its name pays tribute to the ancient stone walls that once protected the Monastery of Poblet—a spiritual and historical landmark that inspires the wine’s depth, elegance, and strength.
Grape varieties
Cariñena, Garnacha, Monastrell, Garró, and Querol. Two of these (Garró and Querol) are ancestral varieties recovered by Familia Torres to preserve the genetic diversity of Catalan vineyards.
Winemaking and ageing
Parcel-based vinification in small tanks. Controlled fermentation and 18 months ageing in new French oak barrels. A precision-crafted wine, made using regenerative viticulture and minimal intervention techniques.

Grans Muralles 2019 is a masterpiece from the renowned Familia Torres, one of Spain's most emblematic and influential wineries, with over 150 years of history in the world of wine. Founded in 1870 in Vilafranca del Penedès, Catalonia, the winery has been a pioneer in sustainable viticulture, the recovery of native grape varieties, and the production of internationally acclaimed wines.

Grans Muralles was born as part of Torres' most ambitious project: to recover practically extinct ancestral varieties, such as Querol and Garró, and combine them with other noble varieties in a unique terroir. The name pays homage to the ancient walls of the Poblet Monastery, next to which lie the vineyards that give rise to this wine.
