Grape varieties
100% Riesling, one of the world’s most noble and elegant grape varieties, perfect for expressing freshness, vibrant acidity and aromatic complexity.
Winemaking
Manual harvest. The grapes are artificially frozen in cold tunnels to achieve a higher concentration of sugars and aromas, following the style of ice wines (Eiswein). Slow fermentation preserves the grape’s natural freshness.

About the Winery

Gramona is one of the most emblematic wineries in the Penedès region, located in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, with a history dating back to 1850. With more than five generations dedicated to wine, the Gramona family is renowned for its excellence in crafting long-aged sparkling wines—especially the Corpinnat—as well as for its constant innovation in still and sweet wines.

The Vi de Glass project represents one of its most unique and pioneering creations in Spain, inspired by Central European ice winemaking methods. Instead of waiting for the grapes to freeze in the vineyard, Gramona employs freezing technology in the winery to concentrate sugars and aromas, achieving naturally sweet wines with exceptional intensity and freshness.
