  • Origin & Style
González Byass Néctar is a Pedro Ximénez sweet wine made in Jerez, in the heart of Andalusia. It’s formulated exclusively from sun-dried Pedro Ximénez grapes, resulting in an intense, luscious, and expressive sherry.
  • Ingredients & Production
The grapes are harvested at their ripest and dried under the sun to concentrate their sugars. Fermentation is halted with wine alcohol, and the wine is then aged for several years in the customary solera system in American oak barrels.
  • Winery Profile
Founded in 1835, González Byass is one of the most iconic and historic bodegas in Jerez. Known worldwide for its commitment to quality and custom, it has played a major role in spreading the prestige of sherry wines across the globe.
  • Tasting Notes
Mahogany in color with amber hues, it offers intense aromas of raisins, figs, and caramel. On the palate, it is rich, unctuous, and silky, with a long and persistent finish that combines sweetness and toasted notes in perfect harmony.

About the Winery

González Byass is one of Spain's most iconic family-owned wineries, founded in 1835 in Jerez de la Frontera by Manuel María González. Since its inception, the winery has been a pioneer in the production of sherry wines, achieving international prestige with iconic brands such as Tío Pepe.

Over five generations, González Byass has combined tradition, innovation, and merit to establish itself as one of the leading Spanish wine producers in the world. Today, the winery remains owned by the González family and maintains its loyalty to quality, respect for the Andalusian terroir, and sustainability.

In its historic facilities in the heart of Jerez, surrounded by centuries-old warehouses and Andalusian courtyards, gems such as Néctar Pedro Ximénez are aged using the traditional criaderas and solera system in American oak barrels.

Beyond Jerez, González Byass has expanded its expertise to other regions of Spain and the world, but its soul remains in the south, where the sun, albariza soil, and history give life to wines with a unique identity.
