Glenfarclas, founded in 1836 in the heart of Speyside, is one of the few Scottish distilleries that remains 100% family-owned and independent, currently run by the sixth generation of the Grant family. This independence has allowed Glenfarclas to maintain its commitment to customary methods and artisanal quality. They are noted for their exclusive use of Oloroso sherry casks and for producing single malts with an elegant, profound, and honest profile.

What flavor awaits me?

Color
Bright straw gold, clean, and very bright.

Nose
Sweet aromas of malt and sherry, with subtle notes of honey, vanilla, ripe pears, and a slightly spicy environment. Upon swirling the glass, nuances of heather and caramel emerge.

Palate
Smooth and light consistency. Flat flavors of sweet malt, dried fruits (almonds, walnuts), vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves. The sweetness of the sherry harmonizes with a hint of spice and an elegant touch of smoke.

Finish
Long, enveloping, and spicy. The aftertaste is delicately smoky, with lingering notes of honey and oak.
