Galena 2019 comes from the heart of Priorat, specifically El Molar, where the legendary “llicorella” slate soils give character to the wines. It belongs to the prestigious D.O.Q. Priorat is one of Spain's most renowned appellations for its quality and originality. - Grape varieties
60% Grenache, 20% Carignan, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot. An elegant and powerful blend combining fruit, structure, and refinement. - Winemaking and aging
Grapes are hand-harvested in small boxes, with selection both in the vineyard and at the winery. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks using native yeasts. Aged for 12 months in mostly second-use French oak barrels to preserve the fruit expression. - Winery profile
Clos Galena is a sustainability pioneer in Priorat, one of the first to obtain organic certification. Founded by Miguel Pérez Cerrada and now run by his family, the estate blends a modern vision with deep respect for the terroir and biodiversity.
