Formiga de Vellut 2021 is an organic red wine from D.O.Q. Priorat, one of Spain’s most prestigious wine regions. It comes from vineyards located between the municipalities of El Molar and Bellmunt del Priorat, where the slate soil (llicorella) adds character and minerality to the wine. - Grape varieties
60% Garnacha, 20% Cariñena and 20% Syrah. An expressive blend that combines fruit, structure and Mediterranean elegance. - Winemaking and aging
Manual harvest with vineyard selection. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aged for 9 months in second- and third-use French oak barrels, preserving the wine’s fruity freshness. Bottled unfiltered. - Producer profile
Clos Galena is a family-run winery committed to organic viticulture and sustainability. Founded by Miguel Pérez Cerrada and now led by his daughter Merche Dalmau, the winery stands out for producing wines with conscience, quality, and a strong Priorat identity.
