Formiga de Vellut es un vino destacado de la región del Priorat en Cataluña, España, producido por la bodega Domini de la Cartoixa. Este vino es elaborado a partir de una cuidadosa selección de variedades de uva como Garnacha, Cariñena y Syrah. La Garnacha aporta aromas de frutas rojas y una textura suave, la Cariñena contribuye con estructura y acidez, y la Syrah añade complejidad con sus notas de frutas negras y especias.

Formiga de Vellut es envejecido durante aproximadamente 12 meses en barricas de roble francés, lo que le confiere una mayor complejidad y suavidad, integrando los sabores de la fruta con las sutiles notas de madera. Este vino presenta un color rojo rubí profundo con reflejos violáceos, aromas intensos de frutas maduras, especias y un toque mineral. En boca, es bien estructurado y equilibrado, con taninos suaves y una acidez fresca, ofreciendo sabores de frutas rojas y negras, especias y roble, culminando en un final largo y persistente.
