Grape varieties
A blend of 50% Garnacha Tinta, 40% Cariñena, 5% Merlot, and 5% Syrah. This assortment brings fruit, structure, freshness, and a versatile spiced profile.
Vinification & aging
Customary fermentation over two weeks with gradually enriching temperatures for optimal aromatic extraction, followed by post-fermentation maceration and aging for 6 months in concrete tanks and another 6 months in French oak barrels.

About the Winery

Els Pics is produced by the Mas Alta winery, located in the Priorat DOQ, in the small village of La Vilella Alta. Founded at the beginning of the 21st century in collaboration with prestigious Belgian and French winemakers, Mas Alta has established itself as a benchmark for wines that combine the intensity of Priorat with an accessible and contemporary style.

The vineyards, planted on llicorella (slate) soils, are situated between 350 and 450 meters above sea level. This unique geography, along with the influence of the Mediterranean and continental climate, gives its wines a personality marked by minerality, freshness, and aromatic depth.

Mas Alta's philosophy is based on sustainability and respect for the terroir, with minimal-intervention viticulture and precise winemaking that seek to express the authenticity of Priorat in every bottle.
