About the Winery

El Perro Verde is the result of a collaboration between renowned distributor Vila Viniteca and the Uvas Felices project, which brings together winemakers from various appellations of origin to create wines with identity, quality, and accessibility.

The wine's technical director is Ángel Lorenzo Cachazo, a veteran winemaker and winemaker from Rueda who, along with his son Javier, brings the experience of his family winery founded in 1987 (Bodega Martivilli). In 2005, they joined the Uvas Felices project to create a distinct, expressive, and modern Verdejo. Their vineyards, located at an altitude of approximately 800 meters, are cultivated on loose soils with gravel and limestone, ideal conditions for extracting the freshest and most aromatic typical character of Verdejo.

The result: a young, fresh wine representative of the new Rueda region.

What flavor awaits me?

Appearance:
Bright straw yellow with greenish hues. Clean and very expressive, it reveals its youth and freshness at first glance.

Nose:
Intense and aromatic, with notes of tropical fruit (pineapple, passion fruit), fresh citrus fruits (lime, grapefruit), and a herbaceous background typical of Verdejo (fennel, tomato leaves). A slight mineral note appears, adding complexity.

Palate:
Fresh and vibrant. A lively and direct entry, with well-balanced acidity that highlights the fruit flavors. Salty touches, good persistence, and a citrus finish that invites continued drinking. This is a lively, flavorful, and very well-structured wine for its youth.
