About the Winery

Founded in 2001 by the Gil family and renowned Australian winemaker Chris Ringland, Bodegas El Nido has established itself in record time as a benchmark in the production of great Spanish red wines. Located in the Aragona Valley, near the city of Jumilla, the winery cultivates its vineyards at an altitude of 800 meters on limestone and stony soils, ideal for the development of varieties of great character. Its vines include the native Monastrell, with plants almost 100 years old, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, grown in carefully selected plots.

Bodegas El Nido's wines, such as the iconic El Nido and Clío, have won international acclaim thanks to their combination of power, elegance, and complexity, establishing themselves as benchmarks in the Jumilla Designation of Origin. The winery is part of the Juan Gil Bodegas Familiares group, a collective of wineries recognized for maintaining Spanish winemaking traditions while looking to the future with innovation and excellence.
