D.O. Jumilla
El Nido 2021
- Origin and D.O.
Sourced from the Aragona Valley in the Jumilla D.O., a region known for its stony, limestone-rich soils that impart minerality and structure. - Grape Varieties
A precise blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Monastrell from low-yield old vines that offer intensity and intricacy. - Winemaking and Aging
Manual harvest and cluster selection. Fermented in small vats and barrels, followed by 24 months of aging in new French and American oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation also takes place. - Producer Profile
Crafted by Bodegas El Nido, part of the prestigious Gil Family Estates group, also known for wines like Clío, Ateca, and Shaya. - Special Features
Limited production, old-vine grapes, artisanal winemaking, and extended aging result in a maximum expression of the Jumilla terroir.
