About the Winery

De Muller is one of Catalonia's most iconic wineries, with a history dating back to 1851, when it was launched by Don Augusto de Muller y Ruinart de Brimont, an Alsatian nobleman linked to the prestigious Ruinart Champagne house. For more than 160 years, the winery has maintained an impeccable reputation for producing mass wines, rancio wines, and sweet wines, and for decades it has been the official supplier to the Vatican. Currently, De Muller operates under the D.O. Tarragona and D.O.Q. Priorat appellations, producing wines both in its modern winery in Reus, where it has 150 hectares of vineyards, and on its Mas de les Pusses estate in El Molar, in the heart of Priorat, with 34 hectares of vineyards and a winery dedicated to aged wines and wines of high expression. Combining tradition and modernity, the winery uses classic techniques such as aging in oak casks and is committed to careful production that respects the character of the terroir. De Muller wines stand out for their authenticity, balance, and elegance, a faithful reflection of the winemaking legacy they represent.

Appearance:
Intense, bright golden color with amber highlights, denoting its aging and concentration.

Nose:
Aromatically expressive, with notes of candied tropical fruits (mango, pineapple), white flowers, orange peel, and honey. There are also notes of tea, caramel, vanilla, and a mineral undertone, all contributed by slow aging in French oak casks.

Palate:
Silky and warm on the palate. Its sweetness, with more than 190 g/l of residual sugar, is perfectly balanced by lively acidity, which adds freshness and prevents it from becoming cloying. Its texture is unctuous and the finish is long, with hints of stone fruit, jam, and sweet spices.
