De Muller Legítim 2021

De Muller is one of the most historic wineries in Catalonia and Spain. Founded in 1851 by German merchant Augusto de Muller and Ruinart de Brimont, the winery has been firmly intent on winemaking excellence and respect for tradition since its inception. Its heritage has always been linked to the production of high-quality wines, both dry and fortified, and it is world-renowned for its sacramental wine, which has been exported to five continents for decades.

Since its beginnings in Reus, the winery has managed to reinvent itself without losing its essence. In 1996, De Muller moved its headquarters to the Mas de Valls estate on the outskirts of Reus, where it has modern facilities with a capacity to produce up to 4 million liters, mainly under the Tarragona D.O.

However, its foray into other appellations is equally significant. In Priorat, De Muller owns the Mas de les Pusses estate in the municipality of El Molar. There, it cultivates 34 hectares of its vineyards, in an environment marked by licorella (slate) soils and unique microclimates that allow for the production of intense, elegant, and deeply expressive red wines.

With more than 170 years of history, De Muller has managed to combine its winemaking heritage with innovation, and today it is a benchmark for both classic wines and modern offerings. Its range includes everything from rancio and sweet misa wines to aged reds such as Legítim, made with precision and respect for the Priorat terroir.

Store red wines horizontally in a cool, dark place, while white and sparkling wines are best kept in the refrigerator. Avoid sudden changes in temperature.
