The Crossos Wine is Cherry Red in colour. The label reveals the 'galena' or large pebbles and stones that cover the vineyards where the grapes for this wine are grown. Although Grenache and Cabernet may be the stars here, it is the indigenous Samsó variety that brings diversity and intrigue. Flavours of ripe forest soil, wild berries with young balsamic notes lead to a symphonic finish with Chocolate and Vanilla.

The wine is fresh and lively on the nose, with those pencil-like, almost metallic notes that for many is a closer descriptor to minerality, which is so often used but not always easy to understand. Then the fruit appears. Also. Plum and blackberry, with something more spicy that surrounds it. On the palate, it is lively and cheerful. With a soft tannin that nevertheless leaves a deep impression at the end. Delicious.
