About the Winery

Blanton's was launched in 1984 by the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, one of the most senior continuously operating distilleries in the U.S. Its creation marked a milestone: it was the first bourbon bottled as a single barrel, with each barrel hand-selected to deliver a unique and unrepeatable profile. Blanton's is named after Colonel Albert B. Blanton, a legendary figure at the distillery, and represents a homage to his legacy and meticulous approach to whiskey production. Each bottle is individually numbered and retains details of the barrel it comes from, making it a cult object among aficionados and collectors.
