About the Winery

The Balvenie Distillery, located in the heart of Speyside, Scotland, has been part of the William Grant & Sons family since its founding in 1892. What truly sets it apart is its unwavering loyalty to artisanal tradition. They grow their barley, malt by hand, and have their cooper—an approach few distilleries maintain today. Their Master Distiller, David Stewart, has shepherded this inheritance for over five decades, ensuring that each whisky combines precision and authentic character.

The Balvenie combines history with innovation. While embracing centuries-old techniques, they also experiment with new woods and maturation processes, always without compromising quality. Each batch reflects the purity of Speyside, the family passion, and the craftsmanship that has been their hallmark for generations.
