  • A new expression of Ardbeg
An Oa is the most approachable and spherical interpretation from the iconic Islay distillery. An elaborate yet gentle Single Malt, born from the fusion of charred oak, Pedro Ximénez, and ex-bourbon casks.
  • Seductive and balanced nose
On the nose, it merges smoky notes with an enveloping sweetness: vanilla, honey, dark chocolate, and toffee receive a core of peat and damp earth.
  • Characterful and smooth on the palate
Smoky but not feisty. The first impact is spicy (black pepper and anise), followed by a creamy texture with touches of honey, toffee, and charred oak. A structured whisky, free of harsh edges.
  • A finish that lingers and embraces
The aftertaste is sweet, long, and slightly spicy, with elegant smoke and woody notes evoking the sea and breeze of Islay.
  • Perfect for peat whisky beginners
Its balance between sweetness and peat makes it the ideal Ardbeg for those looking to explore Islay’s bold flavors without sacrificing smoothness.

About the Winery

The Ardbeg distillery was founded in 1815 on the south coast of Islay, Scotland, and is one of the most iconic in the region for its bold and heavily peated style. Over the centuries, it has survived closures, fires, and industry crises, establishing itself as an icon of artisanal Scotch whisky. Today, under the ownership of the LVMH group, it continues to produce in small batches using traditional methods, combining innovation and authenticity.
