Produced only in exceptional vintages, AALTO PS 2022 is a limited-production wine that represents the highest expression of the AALTO project.
Unique Vineyards
100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) from very old vines, aged between 60 and 90 years, located in unique plots in La Horra and La Aguilera (Ribera del Duero). These terroirs contribute natural depth, structure, and concentration to the wine.
Manual Harvest & Extreme Selection
The harvest is carried out manually in 15 kg crates, with meticulous bunch-by-bunch selection on sorting tables. Only the finest grapes make it into each bottle.
Intense Vintage Conditions
The 2022 vintage was marked by drought and extreme heat. Delayed budding, scarce rainfall, and heatwaves in spring and summer provided concentration, ripeness, and balance to the fruit.
Demanding Aging
The wine was aged for 20 months in new French oak barrels, developing a firm structure, polished tannins, and exceptional aging potential.
Aromatic Profile
In the glass, it presents a high layer of color. Great aromatic complexity with predominant black fruit notes, along with hints of licorice and spices. Full-bodied and persistent on the palate, this 2022 vintage stands out for its expression.

Appearance
Intense cherry red with a garnet rim. Bright, deep, and with dense tears.

Nose
Complex and expressive. Notes of ripe black fruit, licorice, cocoa, roasted coffee, fine leather, and perfectly integrated noble wood appear.
Over time, nuances of violets, tobacco, and truffles emerge, anticipating its enormous capacity for evolution.

Palate
Full-bodied, structured and deeply layered. Powerful yet polished tannins, balanced acidity and a silky texture.
Flavors of blackberries, plums, sweet spices, dark chocolate and a hint of minerality stand out.

Finish
Very long, enveloping and harmonious, with lingering notes of black fruit, roasted flavors and balsamic notes.
