About the Winery

Aalto Bodegas y Viñedos was founded in 1999 by Mariano García, one of Spain's most renowned winemakers, and Javier Zaccagnini, former director of the DO Ribera del Duero. Together, they undertook a project with the aim of exploiting the full potential of Tempranillo and the Ribera del Duero terroir. Controlling more than 100 hectares of old vines, some of which are up to 100 years old, in various municipalities in Burgos and Valladolid, Aalto has established itself as a benchmark winery that combines tradition, innovation and absolute respect for quality at every stage of production.
