Furvus 2021 | Vinyes Domènech

Furvus 2021, produced by the Vinyes Domènech winery in the Montsant DO, is a red wine that reflects the nature of the Mediterranean landscape with a perfect balance between fruit, freshness, and intricacy. Its blend is composed of 95% Garnacha Peluda and 5% Merlot, from certified organic and biodynamic vineyards, planted at an altitude of 450-500 meters on clay-limestone soils. The climate, with cold winters and dry summers, gives the wine its fresh and expressive character.

After a manual harvest and detailed destemming, the wine ferments for 12 days at a steady temperature of less than 29 °C (79 °F). The wine is aged for 12 months in first and second-year French (50%) and American (50%) oak barrels, which provides structure and complexity without detracting from the fruit.

The result is a graceful and seductive wine, where notes of wild blackberries, ripe blueberries, and red plums combine with spicy, citrus, and herbal hints of rosemary and lavender.
