About the Winery

Hacienda Monasterio is one of the most prestigious wineries in Ribera del Duero, located on a historic estate between Pesquera del Duero and Valbuena. Founded in the 1990s on an old monastery property, this winery has successfully combined Castilian winemaking tradition with a modern and sustainable vision of wine.

Since 1991, the project has been led by hailed winemaker Peter Sisseck—creator of the legendary Pingus—along with Carlos de la Fuente, shaping a unique style: wines of great depth, balance, and elegance. Hacienda Monasterio's philosophy is based on absolute respect for the terroir, working with certified organic viticulture and minimal intervention in the winery.

The result is refined wines, with a Bordeaux soul and Castilian character, that have won over international critics and have become benchmarks of the most luxurious and expressive Ribera del Duero.
