Rías Baixas – Valle del Salnés subzone (Galicia, Spain). Sourced from the estate-owned vineyards of Pazo de Barrantes, located around the family manor in Meis.
Grape varieties
100% Albariño hand-selected grapes from small plots with decomposed granite (xabre) soils, contributing vibrant freshness and unmistakable minerality.
Vinification and ageing
Fermentation at low temperature in stainless steel tanks, followed by 7 months of ageing on fine lees to enhance volume, creaminess, and depth. Further refinement in the bottle for 16 months before release.
Producer profile
Pazo de Barrantes is owned by the Marqués de Murrieta family, an icon of Spanish winemaking. The winery merges Galician legacy with Rioja accuracy to craft one of Spain’s most age-worthy, gastronomic, and refined Albariños.
