The Diplomático distillery, located in La Miel at the foot of the Venezuelan Andes, is internationally acknowledged for its commitment to quality, sustainability, and artisanal tradition. Founded in 1959, Destilerías Unidas S.A. (DUSA) produces its rums using a comprehensive approach: they control everything from sugarcane cultivation to final bottling.

They use spring water, high-quality cane honey, and mixed distillation methods, combining column stills, batch kettles, and pot stills. This allows them to create rums with diverse, complex, and elegant profiles.
