A blend with deep roots
Artigas 2021 is a faithful reflection of Priorat’s identity. A wine crafted with 60% Garnacha Tinta, 30% Cariñena and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines aged between 10 and 90 years, planted on slate and calcareous clay soils in La Vilella Alta, at altitudes ranging from 250 to 450 meters.
Carefully crafted from the vine
Manual harvesting and double bunch selection. Fermentation is temperature-controlled and gravity-fed. Aged for 16 months in French Allier oak barrels: 35% new, 30% first-year, and 35% second-year.
Intense and deep nose
Aromas of black cherry, plum, and blackcurrant melt into notes of vanilla, cocoa, black pepper, and a balsamic, mineral background. A bouquet balancing power and elegance.
Silky and structured palate
A rounded entry with ripe tannins and velvety texture. The finish is long and lightly bitter, enhancing complexity and adding freshness. A symphony of ripe fruit, fine oak, and terroir character.

Bodegas Mas Alta, located in the prestigious Priorat region of Catalonia, is the fruit of the dream of two Belgian families, the Lambrechts and the Vanhouttes, who arrived in Vilella Alta in 1999 attracted by the magic of this unique terroir. With the advice of renowned winemaker Michel Tardieu, the winery has dedicated itself to capturing the essence of Priorat in each bottle, working with a minimal intervention and sustainable viticulture approach.
