Exceptional Origin
Made from 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) sourced from very old vines — between 40 and 80 years old — grown across nine villages in the Ribera del Duero region, spanning both Burgos and Valladolid provinces.
Handcrafted Harvest
Harvested manually in 15 kg boxes, with strict bunch-by-bunch selection on sorting tables. A process focused on preserving grape integrity and ensuring maximum quality from the source.
Challenging Vintage
The 2022 vintage was shaped by a dry winter, intense frosts, and an extreme summer. Low rainfall and heat waves contributed to fruit concentration and character, while delayed budding helped avoid spring frost damage.
Precise Aging
Aged for 16 months in French and American oak barrels, which adds structure, complexity, and longevity without overwhelming the fruit profile.
Aromatic Profile
Deep purple color. On the nose, ripe red fruit aromas dominate, accompanied by subtle spicy notes and an elegant background of well-integrated oak.

About the Winery

Aalto Bodegas y Viñedos was founded in 1999 by Mariano García, one of the most renowned winemakers in Spain, and Javier Zaccagnini, former director of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. Together, they undertook a project with the aim of exploiting the full potential of Tempranillo and the Ribera del Duero terroir. Controlling more than 100 hectares of old vines, some up to 100 years old, in several municipalities of Burgos and Valladolid, Aalto has established itself as a reference winery that combines tradition, innovation and absolute respect for quality at every stage of production.
