Hennessy XO Cognac
- Origin and Appellation
From the Cognac region of France, Hennessy X.O designates the ultimate indication of the savoir-faire of the Maison founded in 1765. - Ingredients and Blend
Crafted from a masterful blend of 100 hand-selected eaux-de-vie, some aged for over 30 years. - Production and Aging Process
Each eau-de-vie is double-distilled in traditional Charentais copper stills and aged in French oak barrels from the Limousin forest. The prolonged aging process adds structure, richness, and exceptional balance. - Producer Profile: Maison Hennessy
With over 250 years of history, Hennessy is the global leader in Cognac and a symbol of excellence. Now led by Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, eighth-generation Master Blender, the house preserves its artisanal heritage with a forward-looking vision. - Artisanal Production and Extended Aging
X.O. was created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy as the first “Extra Old” Cognac, originally intended for private consumption. Today, it persists to be aged under optimal conditions in cellars along the Charente River, where high humidity favors a smooth and spherical maturation.
