About the Winery

Alto del Carmen Pisco is produced by Cooperativa Agrícola Pisquera Elqui Limitada (CAPEL), one of the main pisco producers in Chile. The distillery is located in the commune of Alto del Carmen, in the Atacama Region, an area renowned for its ideal conditions for growing pisco grapes. CAPEL was founded in 1935 and groups more than 1,200 small producers who grow grapes on approximately 4,500 hectares in the Copiapó, Huasco, Elqui, Limarí, and Choapa valleys.
